So much has happened in two years, and it’s amazing where we are now. When I see Adonis running down the hall in our new building I think to myself “How did I grow this little human inside me?”. Seeing Adonis talk, play with his toys, read his books to himself, sing,and dance just makes me appreciate life. How he started as just a little seed and now is blooming with such vibrance and beauty. It makes me really savor this pregnancy.
Adonis probably has 50 word vocabulary (speaking and listening combined). He can say the letters of the alphabet along with me (except for ‘W’ that’s a hard one). He loves to sing to the song “We are Young” by the band Fun. Any type of music he waves his little fists in the air and sways his hips, SOOOO CUTE! Anything with wheels he’s intrigued with, along with trains, coloring, Elmo, and Cookie Monster. I love that he still has a fascination with books, and I hope it never ends!

You amaze me in every which way, and watching you grow is a complete honor. I don’t regret the decision I’ve made to make a better life for you. I know some day you will understand. With the power of prayer and faith, I know we are where we are for a reason. Nico is incredible Papa to you, and we are excited to be able to give you and your little brother the happy life you deserve.

Love: My blessing
I was sitting on the living room floor picking up Donnie’s toys. It is quiet and still in my home at this moment. The only thing I hear are the gusty winds pressing up against my living room windows. As I’m picking up each toy, flashes of images of my little boy playing and laughing with each toy appeared in my mind. I couldn’t help but a burst of joyful tears started to pour down my face. I am so blessed to raise such a happy beautiful boy. I can’t believe that in just one month from Thursday my boy is going to be two. Looking back at our journey, it’s amazing that I can spend each day with him and teach him new things about our world. We’ve come incredibly far. Now we have Nico, and we are going have another blessing joining our lives in a few short months.
So, Adonis I write to you, I am blessed and incredibly thankful that you are my son. The boy who filled my heart with love that I can’t even describe on May 26, 2010 at 12:22am. And to be able to experience such a love again in late August will be another blessing that I didn’t think I could ever have so soon. I can’t wait to share this love with Nico and you, Adonis. I can only hope that some day when you hold your child in your arms you can be blessed to feel that love as well.
